When You and Your Spouse Can’t Agree

Some divorces are simple, involving spouses who can negotiate an uncontested divorce agreement and present that agreement to the court. However, there are times when even countless sessions of mediation will not lead to a positive result. If you and your spouse do not agree on one or more issues in your Tennessee divorce, we are ready to help protect your interests in court.

We are experienced and skilled trial advocates for clients involved in any type of divorce dispute, including disputes involving:

  • Child custody and child support, including child visitation arrangements
  • Alimony/spousal support
  • Division of marital assets
  • Uncovering hidden assets
  • Valuing property and complex assets, including retirement accounts/pensions
  • Business valuations

Tennessee Grounds for a Divorce

Tennessee has no-fault and fault-based divorce. In a no-fault divorce, one or both spouses must state that there are irreconcilable differences between the spouses. In a fault divorce, a spouse must be able to show that one of the grounds for divorce exists. Grounds for divorce include adultery, impotence, desertion, abuse, habitual drunkenness or drug abuse, and more.

Experience Matters.

We have the experience you need to ensure you are protected throughout the divorce proceedings. We will assess your case honestly and clearly explain your legal options to you. Contact our firm for a consultation.
